Reiki Training at Falling Feathers Healing

Reiki is a practice that unfolds through experience. As we spend time with the energy, practice Reiki for ourselves, and bring its teachings into our daily lives, our relationship with Reiki naturally begins to deepen.

My Reiki trainings are intentionally comprehensive and spacious. Each level is taught independently, creating time to learn the teachings, experience the energy, develop a personal practice, ask questions, and integrate what you are learning into your own life.

 

At Falling Feathers Healing, Reiki training is approached as a journey. We begin with a strong foundation and allow time for practice and lived experience before continuing to the next level.

Shoden — Usui Reiki Level I

Shoden, meaning “first teachings,” is the beginning of the Reiki path and the foundation for future Reiki training. The complete Shoden experience includes 15 hours of training, experiential learning, integration, and practice. The initial training takes place over two full days, followed several weeks later by a dedicated three-hour Integration & Practice Session.

 

Throughout our time together, we explore the history and foundations of Reiki, the Reiki precepts, energetic awareness, self-Reiki, sharing Reiki with others, traditional Reiki practices, attunement/reiju, and plenty of hands-on experience. Students receive a comprehensive Shoden training manual to support the class experience and their continued practice at home, as well as a Usui Reiki Level I certificate.

Learning, Living & Integrating Reiki

An important part of Reiki training at Falling Feathers happens after the initial training weekend.

Students return several weeks later for a dedicated Integration & Practice Session. The time between our gatherings gives you an opportunity to live with Reiki — to establish a self-practice, become familiar with the energy, notice what unfolds, and discover the questions that often emerge only through experience.

When we gather again, there is time to reconnect, ask questions, deepen your understanding, practice Reiki with one another, and talk about what you have experienced since the initial training.

 

I believe this period of integration matters.

 

Reiki deepens through practice and experience. Creating space between learning and returning gives you time to experience Reiki for yourself and begin making the practice your own.

A Thoughtful Foundation

You do not need to know where Reiki will ultimately lead you in order to begin.

When I began my own Reiki journey, I had no intention of working with others. I was simply drawn to Reiki for myself. Over time, my relationship with Reiki unfolded in ways I never could have anticipated.

Some students come to Reiki for their own well-being, personal growth, or spiritual practice. Others hope to share Reiki with family and friends. Some may eventually feel called to incorporate Reiki into professional healing work. There is no expectation that Reiki become something you offer professionally.

Whatever brings you to Reiki, Shoden offers a foundation from which you can begin exploring what the practice means in your own life.

Reiki training at Falling Feathers unfolds gradually and intentionally. Time is given between levels to practice, integrate what you've learned, and gain experience before moving forward.

Classes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of eight students. This creates space for questions, conversation, individual attention, and meaningful hands-on practice.
